Julia Chae has extensive experience in biostatistics, bioinformatics, and data science, having held various leadership roles across notable organizations. Julia served as Genome Science Projects Manager at Canada's Michael Smith Genome Sciences Centre from 2010 to 2013, followed by the role of Bioinformatician / Computational Biologist at BC Cancer Research Centre from 2006 to 2010. After that, Julia worked as Research & Early Development Program Manager at the Terry Fox Research Institute from 2013 to 2015. Before joining GSK as Director of Biostatistics in May 2023, Julia gained significant experience at Roche from 2020 to 2021, holding multiple positions including Global Business and Insights Analytics Manager and Sr. Data Science Product Lead. Julia holds a Bachelor of Science Honours in Life Science and a Bachelor of Computing Honours from Queen's University, as well as a Master of Science in Machine Learning from the University of Toronto.
