Mark Bean

Scientific Leader

Mark Bean is a scientific leader at GSK, where they have worked since 1988, focusing on automated LCMS and analytical informatics. They actively contribute to the AnIML XML data standard group and developed the CANDI software suite. Previously, they served as a principal investigator in independent research from 1982 to 1985, specializing in the exploration and collection of medicinal plants for tropical diseases. Mark holds an A.B. in Biology from Harvard University, a Ph.D. in Medicinal Chemistry and Pharmacognosy from Purdue University, and a research fellowship in Mass Spectrometry from The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine.
