Rob Slack, PhD FRSB, is a seasoned professional with over 20 years of experience in biotech and large pharmaceutical sectors. Currently serving as the VP and Head of Respiratory Biology at GSK, Rob is responsible for the strategic direction of the respiratory portfolio and leading cross-functional teams to meet business objectives. In addition to this role, Rob is a Visiting Lecturer at the University of Hertfordshire and a Fellow at the Royal Society of Biology. Formerly the Head of Translational Pharmacology at GSK, Rob has a strong track record in driving drug discovery and advancing clinical testing for respiratory diseases, as well as serving as acting CSO at Galecto, Inc. Rob holds an MPharmacol (Hons) in Pharmacology from the University of Bath and is pursuing a PhD in Pharmacology from the University of Strathclyde.
