Simon Dowell

Simon Dowell has extensive experience in the biopharmaceutical industry, currently serving as the Director and Head of Human Biological Sample Management at GSK since January 1995. Simon has expertise in clinical interface, patient supply chain targeting, and platform technology and science. Earlier in Simon’s career at GSK, roles included Section Leader in Biological Reagents and Assay Development and Group Leader in Biological Reagents and Assay Development. Prior to GSK, Simon was a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Cancer Research UK from 1992 to 1995. Academic qualifications include a Bachelor's Degree in Biochemistry from New College, Oxford (1984-1988) and a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Yeast Genetics and Molecular Biology from Green College, Oxford (1988-1992).
