Sofia Hu is currently engaged at GSK in the role of New Chemical Entity Molecular Discovery IP, focusing on Discovery Biology and Screening since September 2025. Previous experience includes a Pharmacy Intern position at Dargan's Pharmacy, where Sofia contributed to patient care and prescription dispensing from May 2022 to October 2023. An internship as an LMU Amgen Scholar at Amgen in July 2024 involved research on lipid nanoparticle functionalization in the Ertürk lab. During the summer of 2023, a HRB-TMRN Summer Scholarship was completed at Trinity College Dublin under the supervision of Dr Emer Guinan and Dr Linda O'Neill, resulting in a poster presentation on retention rates in exercise oncology trials. Sofia also participated in a medicinal chemistry internship at the O'Boyle Lab funded by an RSC Undergraduate Research Bursary. Additionally, a Quality Assurance Internship at Fannin Ltd from September to December 2024 included managing non-conformances and responding to medical information queries. Sofia is pursuing a degree in Pharmacy at Trinity College Dublin, expected to complete in 2027.
