Stephen Atkinson is a seasoned translational group lead and hepatologist with extensive experience in the medical field. They completed their medical training at Brighton and Sussex University Hospital Trust and went on to serve as an academic clinical fellow in gastroenterology and hepatology at Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust. They have held several esteemed positions, including honorary consultant hepatologist and clinical advisor for the NHS Institute for Innovation and Improvement. Currently, they work at GSK as a discovery medicine physician and lead a hepatology translational medicine group. Stephen has also contributed to academia as a senior clinical lecturer at Imperial College London.
