Tom Webb

Medicine Development Leader

Tom Webb is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in project management and leadership roles at GSK from June 2018 to November 2025. As Pipeline Project Management Senior Director, Tom led a team focusing on the Respiratory portfolio and specifically oversaw the Camlipixant project for refractory chronic cough. Additional roles include Senior Director/Chief of Staff for R&D Pipeline, where Tom provided strategic and operational support for Oncology, Infectious Disease, and Immuno-inflammation projects. Tom also served as Director of Business Development in Vaccines, led a transformation program to enhance Development cycle time performance, and held various roles within the Esprit R&D leadership development program. Prior experience at Biopharm R&D includes roles in Antibody Engineering, contributing to therapeutic programs from discovery to translational phases. Tom holds a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry and a PhD in Cell/Cellular and Molecular Biology from the University of Nottingham, where Tom was awarded the Novartis Postgraduate Prize for Excellence.
