Gary Smit is a Chartered Accountant with extensive experience in finance and auditing. Gary currently holds the position of Finance Lead - Copper Africa at Glencore, where Gary also serves as the Global Governance Lead for Glencore Copper. Prior to joining Glencore, Gary worked at Deloitte South Africa as a Senior Manager, specializing in audit and finance. Gary holds a Master's degree in SA & International Taxation and has a strong academic background in Chartered Accountancy.
