Jan Meyer has extensive financial management experience, currently serving as Group Financial Manager and previously as Financial Controller at Glencore since May 2016. Prior to this role, Jan was Financial Controller at Optimum Coal from September 2012 to April 2016. Jan's career began at BHP Billiton, BECSA, where a range of positions were held from November 2004 to August 2012, including Reporting Manager, Risk and Governance Controller, Finance Manager, Financial Services Manager, and Senior Internal Auditor. Earlier experience includes serving as Audit Manager/Trainee Accountant at Lloyd and Jansen Chartered Accountant from January 1994 to October 2004. Jan holds a CA(SA) designation from SAICA and earned an Hons B Compt and a B Compt in Accounting, Audit, and Tax from the University of South Africa/Universiteit van Suid-Afrika.
