Jason Jones has over 19 years of experience in environmental management within the mining and resources sector. Currently serving as Group Environment Manager at Glencore since August 2010, Jason has held various significant roles including Manager of Environment for Zinc Assets Australia, and Manager of HSE Strategy, Regulation and Assurance for Queensland Metals. Previous positions include Superintendent roles in Environment Strategy and Regulation, Closure, and various environmental projects with Mount Isa Mines, Aurukun Bauxite Project, and Frieda River Project. Prior to Glencore, Jason worked as an Environmental Project Manager at Resource Strategies Pty Ltd and as a Research Assistant at CSIRO. Jason holds a Bachelor of Environmental Management in Sustainable Development from The University of Queensland, obtained from 2000 to 2003.
