Joseph O'Brien is currently the Head of Origination for US Oil & Gas at Glencore. They previously held the position of Executive Director at NextEra Energy Resources from 2017 to 2023, where they focused on structured commodity finance for oil and gas origination. Prior to that, Joseph worked at Bear, Stearns & Co as a Summer Analyst and at Castle Gap Energy Partners in business development and commercial roles. They also spent a significant period at Goldman Sachs, progressing from Analyst to Vice President, concentrating on commodity-linked structured finance. Joseph earned dual bachelor's degrees in Economics and Public Policy Studies from Duke University and studied abroad at University College London.
