Peter Wright currently holds the position of VP Legal at Glencore Canada, a role assumed in November 2018, and also serves in the Legal division focused on Copper and Zinc since December 2014. Prior experience includes serving as a Senior Associate in the Securities and Mining Groups at Cassels Brock & Blackwell LLP from July 2012 to December 2014, and as an Associate at Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison LLP from September 2005 to February 2011, where Peter participated in and led over $35 billion in cross-border transactions for clients in the mining and oil & gas sectors. Peter began the legal journey at Torys LLP as a Summer and Articling Student from May 2003 to July 2005. Educational credentials include a BCL/LLB from McGill Faculty of Law and an Honours B.A. in French Language & Literature from the University of Western Ontario.
