Senior Mining Engineer - Short Term Planning

Zara Boyce is a seasoned mining engineer with extensive experience in both short and long-term mine planning and scheduling. Currently serving as a Senior Mining Engineer at Glencore since January 2020, Zara is responsible for the planning and scheduling of a truck shovel operation across various time frames, from three months to the Life of Mine. Prior experience includes roles at Yancoal Australia Ltd as a Senior Mining Engineer focused on dragline operations, and at Rio Tinto, where Zara completed coal forecasts and identified risks in mine planning. Zara's career began at Moolarben Coal as a Senior Geologist, following earlier positions at Anglo American Metallurgical Coal and GeoConsult Pty Ltd. Educational qualifications include a Master of Engineering in Mining and Mineral Engineering from UNSW and a Bachelor of Science in Geology from the University of Otago.
