Glengarry Community Development Trust (GCDT) is a community-led organisation based in Invergarry, in the Scottish Highlands. We are proud to manage local land and assets for the community.

Our journey began in late 2015 as Glengarry Community Woodlands. Over the last decade, we have grown to look after a variety of assets, supporting community resilience and enabling the community to have a stake in its own future.

Our current work includes:
● Glengarry Forest Cabins: We are getting ready to open our sustainable, off-grid forest cabins this spring. This new business will create an independent income to support us.
● Woodland Crofts: We are creating opportunities for people to live and work within the community, supporting local livelihoods and small-scale land management.
● Community Housing: We work with partners to deliver affordable housing that supports a living, working community for every generation.
● Employment and Site Operations: We support local jobs through our cabin business, sawmill operations, and general site management.
● Community Asset Management: We aim to develop and manage land and buildings together with the community to provide long-term local benefits.

Whether through sustainable forestry or local enterprise, GCDT reinvests all surplus income back into the community. We work to protect our local landscape while creating new opportunities for rural innovation and social growth.
