Robert Todd Lincoln—son of President Abraham Lincoln—co-founded Glenwood Academy in 1887 with a mission to provide dependent, Illinois children with a training school and protective shelter. For over 130 years, Glenwood Academy has served as a critical resource for disenfranchised children—working to eliminate the impact of trauma and miseducation in a safe and nurturing environment.

Excellence derives from knowledge, hard work, and innovation. By instilling strong life and leadership skills, Glenwood students are empowered to find their own voice to ensure a bright and successful future.
