James Maxwell

James Maxwell is an experienced security professional with a diverse background in executive protection, investigations, and military service. Currently a Network Member at GLG since July 2023, Maxwell also works as an Executive Protection Operative for Patriot Group Global, Inc. since July 2018, providing armed security for high-profile clients in the greater New York area. Previously, Maxwell served as Director of Operations at MSA Security and held the role of Task Force Officer/Investigator with the FBI Joint Terrorism Task Force from February 2004 to January 2017, where responsibilities included being an intelligence liaison officer and case investigator. Prior experience includes roles as an Investigator, Sergeant, and Trooper with the NY State Police from September 1993 to January 2017, as well as a long-standing career in the United States Marine Corps Reserve, culminating in the rank of Colonel upon retirement. Maxwell holds a Master’s Degree in Military Strategic Studies from the US Army War College and a Bachelor's Degree in Management from St. John's University.
