Derek Smith

Derek Smith is an accomplished finance professional with extensive experience in various finance roles across multiple industries. Currently serving as a Consultant at DWS Associates Limited since September 2019, Derek also operates independently as an experienced Financial Director (FD) for both short and long-term engagements, focusing on strategy, projects, change management, process improvement, and business reporting. Previously, Derek held the position of Divisional Finance Director at Malcolm Logistics, where responsibilities included enhancing business reporting and supporting strategic reviews and innovation projects. Additional experience includes roles as Divisional Finance Manager and Interim Financial Controller, as well as significant tenures at DHL and Allied Domecq in both project management and financial roles.
