Director Of Engineering at Glint Lighting

Christopher Gladden has a long and varied work experience. Christopher began their career in 2004 as a Teaching Assistant at the University of Colorado at Boulder. In 2005, they took on a role as a Mechanical Engineering Intern at the National Renewable Energy Lab. From 2007 to 2013, they worked at the University of California as a Team Leader for the Berkeley Light-Material Interaction Energy Frontier Research Center, and as a Graduate Student Researcher. Finally, from 2013 to present, they have been the Director of Engineering and a Member of Technical Staff at Glint Photonics, Inc., where they have been developing self tracking solar concentrator technologies based on fluid optics, simulations, fabrication processes, and experimental test setups for prototyping fluid optic devices, as well as advanced optics for adjustable luminaires.

Christopher Gladden completed a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering with a minor in Mandarin Chinese from the University of Colorado Boulder in 2007. Christopher then went on to pursue a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Mechanical Engineering with a Designated Emphasis in Nano Science & Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley, which they completed in 2012.
