Frontend Technical Lead at Globacap

Tom Glenn has a diverse work experience spanning several companies and roles. Tom is currently working at Globacap as a Frontend Technical Lead since April 2022. In this role, they are responsible for creating and maintaining microservice architecture applications in NestJS and Express, as well as improving coding standards and resiliency in frontend applications written in React.

Prior to this, Tom worked at eTech Solutions Ltd as a Software Developer from May 2017 to September 2021. Here, they worked on various business-critical applications using technologies such as Angular, ASP.NET Core, and Node.

Before eTech Solutions Ltd, Tom was a Software Engineer at risual Limited from October 2014 to May 2017. In this role, they worked on internal and external projects for private and public sector clients, specializing in Microsoft technologies such as SharePoint, Windows Phone, and Microsoft Surface.

Tom also gained experience through their role as a Microsoft Student Partner at Microsoft from August 2013 to September 2014, where they contributed to various student-centered initiatives.

Furthermore, Tom's work experience includes roles at the University of Lincoln. Tom served as a Student from September 2012 to September 2014 and later took on the role of Teaching Assistant from September 2013 to July 2014. Additionally, they worked as Technical Support at the university's walk-in support center, providing repairs and advice to students and staff with technical issues or queries from November 2013 to May 2014.

Tom Glenn's education history begins in 2010 when they attended Lincoln College UK and obtained a HND in Computer Science. Tom then enrolled in the University of Lincoln in 2012 and pursued a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Computer Science, which they completed in 2013. Building on their undergraduate studies, Tom went on to earn a MComp (Master of Computer Science) degree from the University of Lincoln in 2014.

In addition to their formal education, Tom Glenn has also acquired several certifications. In August 2015, they obtained the MCPS (Microsoft Certified Professional) certification and the MS: Programming in C# certification from Microsoft. Later that same year in November, they obtained the MCSD (Microsoft Certified Solutions Developer): Windows Store Apps Using C# certification.
