Lorna Binks

Lorna Binks is currently a Senior Scientist at Globachem nv, specializing in synthetic organic chemistry within the agrochemical sector. Lorna achieved a PhD from The University of Manchester, focusing on the development of novel artificial molecular machines in Professor David Leigh's group, where Lorna was recognized with the President's Doctoral Scholar Award for outstanding research. Lorna also holds a first-class Master’s Degree in Chemistry with industrial experience at Syngenta, where they contributed to the exploration of new herbicides. Additionally, Lorna completed a summer internship at Thornton & Ross, developing new formulations and gaining valuable quality control experience.
