Alan Zimmerman

Alan Zimmerman has over 20 years of work experience in various roles in the technology and business systems field. Alan is currently working as the Director of Business Systems at Global-e since July 2022. Prior to that, they held the position of Director of Business Systems at Borderfree Global Ecommerce from December 2012. In this role, they played a key role in improving business processes, integrating systems, and implementing new systems. Alan prepared the enterprise for a successful IPO and acquisition by providing vision and architecture for the creation of an automated controlled Enterprise Integration Platform.

Before their role at Borderfree, Alan worked as a Lead Consultant and Business Analyst at MIG & Co. from January 2010 to October 2012. Alan also worked at MIG & Co., Inc. as the Business Intelligence Practice Manager from November 2008 to January 2010, and as a Senior Dynamics GP Consultant from January 2006 to November 2008. Alan has experience in strategic partnering with Microsoft, SAP, Dundas, and other solutions, and led consultant teams through training and certification, as well as designing and delivering creative Business Intelligence solutions.

Alan also has experience as a DynamicsGP Lead Consultant at IntraLinks from 2005 to 2009, as a Business Systems Analyst/Developer at MIG & Co. from 2004 to 2006, as a Programmer Analyst at Taro Pharmaceutical from 2001 to 2004, and as a Programmer Analyst at both The Wheatley Group and Chubb Computer Services in 1999.

Alan Zimmerman attended the Chubb Institute in 1999 and obtained a degree in Computer Programming with a focus on Business Systems. In addition to their formal education, they obtained several certifications from Microsoft, including MCPS (Microsoft Certified Professional) in 2005, MCPS in 2012, MCITP (Installation & Configuration for Microsoft Dynamics GP 10.0) in 2008, MBSP (Installation & Configuration for Microsoft Dynamics GP) in 2007, and MCTS: SQL Server 2008, Business Intelligence Development and Maintenance in 2009. Alan also obtained various other certifications related to Microsoft Dynamics GP and SQL Server between the years 2006 and 2011.
