Daniela Macaya is a dedicated environmental advocate currently consulting at the Global Environment Facility, where they support initiatives aimed at mobilizing funding for global biodiversity and ocean priorities. A Yale University alum, they earned a B.A. in Environmental Studies with a specialization in Marine Conservation. Daniela has previously worked as a research assistant at the Scripps Institution of Oceanography and the National Geographic Society, as well as a writer and illustrator for a children's book on plastic pollution published by UNICEF. They have represented youth perspectives at high-level COP events and have been involved in various organizations focused on environmental sustainability.
