Christopher Staszel, Ph.D., is the Nonwoven R&D Manager at Global Material Technologies, where they focus on enhancing outdoor performance apparel and addressing various scientific and engineering challenges. Previously, they served as an Application Scientist in biomaterials at hydefy and held a Graduate Research Assistant position at the University of Illinois at Chicago, where they completed a doctoral thesis on adhesion in polymer textiles and boiling heat transfer. With a strong background in fluid mechanics, heat transfer, and nonwoven formation, Christopher published over 10 peer-reviewed articles and contributed to numerous innovative projects across industries. They hold a Bachelor's degree in Physics from Loyola University Chicago and a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Illinois at Chicago.
