Leading a city is one of the most demanding forms of leadership that exists — yet one of the least supported.

Global Mayors Academy (GMA) is a flagship initiative of Living Cities Earth, designed for mayors, municipal executives, and senior civic leaders who shape the future of small to mid-sized cities — the 10,000+ cities where most of humanity actually lives.

Our first offering, the City Leaders Program (CLP), is a 7-month cohort-based learning journey combining inner leadership development, applied city projects, and a trusted global peer network. Participants don't just study transformation — they lead real initiatives in their own cities while they learn.

What makes GMA different:
  - We start with the leader, not the policy — building the clarity, courage, and systems thinking required for whole-of-city change
  - Real-world activation from day one through our WowYourCity! projects
  - An integral, whole-systems approach built for the complexity of city leadership
  - Designed specifically for cities of 1,000 to 500,000 — the segment global academic institutions don't serve

50 faculty across 4 continents — current and former mayors, urban developers, and leading practitioners.

Format: 12 bi-weekly live online sessions, applied projects, and an in-person graduation experience. Credential: Swiss Professional
Certificate. Founding cohort launches 25 July 2026.
