Nie Wei

Nie Wei is a senior equity investment director, with more than ten years of experience in private equity investment. He has participated in and led over 50 investment projects and other transactions with a total value exceeding RMB 100 billion (£11.3 billion). Currently, Nie Wei serves as a director of Strategic IDC Limited and is the director of Jiangsu Shagang Group Investment Holding Co., Ltd., a wholly-owned subsidiary of Jiangsu Shagang Group Co. Ltd. Nie Wei is also chairman of the board of directors of DOTO Futures Co., Ltd, and director / investment committee member of various privately owned financial institutions and investment organisations. In 2020 he was appointed Vice Chairman and General Manager of Jiangsu Shagang Co., Ltd., (listed on the Shenzen Stock Exchange with Stock Code 002075). Prior to joining Shagang Group, he worked at China Construction Bank from 2006 as a senior manager in the risk management department. Nie Wei graduated from Zhongnan University of Economics and Law having obtained a master degree in Finance. Mr Nie joined the Board of Global Switch as a Non-Executive Director in August 2019.
