Global Valve Technology Ltd (GVT) is an Australian public company pioneering innovation in flow control and water metering technology since 1999. With a strong foundation in research and development, GVT is committed to delivering smarter, more sustainable solutions that enhance performance, reliability, and environmental responsibility across the water industry.

Leveraging decades of experience and a portfolio of patented designs, GVT combines Australian innovation with world-class manufacturing through our long-term partnership in Ningbo, China. We maintain full ownership of all intellectual property, patents, and tooling, ensuring uncompromising quality and control at every stage of production.

GVT’s technologies are trusted globally — including by the largest valve and backflow control company in the United States, Watts Water Technology — where our patented Centerline Flow Check Valve (CFV) design is used in new dwellings.

In Australia, our lead-free, environmentally friendly DN20 water meters are installed in more than 300,000 homes, supported by long-term supply contracts with major utilities such as Sydney Water, Hunter Water, Barwon Water, and Greater Western Water.

Recognised through Federal R&D funding, Climate Ready Grants, and Export Awards, GVT continues to push boundaries in metering and valve design. Our goal is clear — to create innovative, sustainable products that help our customers achieve better outcomes for people, performance, and the planet.
