Markus Nopper

Markus Nopper is a seasoned professional in semiconductor fabrication with over two decades of experience. Currently serving as Senior Manager and Deputy Director at GlobalFoundries since November 2011, Markus oversees equipment management and leads production teams focused on various polishing and plating processes. Prior roles at AMD included leading electroless plating projects and copper plating engineering, with significant contributions to high volume manufacturing environments. Markus began a career in process engineering and development with AMD-Motorola Alliance and has held positions at the Institut für Mikrotechnik Mainz GmbH. An educational background includes a Diplom-Ingenieur in Surface Technology, a Black Belt in Lean and Six Sigma, and specialized training in galvanization.
