Nigel Thorgrimsson is an Agri-Food industry specialist currently serving as the Director at AgFood Assist, providing expertise in Food Safety, Sustainability, and Food Regulatory Affairs within the fresh and processed fruit and vegetable sectors. With over 20 years of experience leading food safety and quality initiatives and 10+ years working as a qualified agronomist, Nigel has contributed significantly to global agricultural practices and policies. They hold an MSc in European Food Regulatory Affairs and have actively participated in various sustainability and regulatory committees, including their role as Chair of GLOBALG.A.P.’s Environmental Sustainability Working Group. Nigel's past roles include Group Regulatory Affairs Director and Group Technical and Quality Director at Ardo, where they championed corporate sustainability efforts and engaged in EU policy discussions.
