Ryan O'Donnell started their work experience in 2011 at Pramerica/TCS as a Graduate Systems Tester. Ryan gained a strong understanding of the waterfall methodology and learned to use tools such as Quality Center, SQL server, and Microsoft Excel. During their time in this role, they devised innovative tools that led to productivity savings.
In 2012, they became an Associate Systems Tester for the Prudential Individual Life Insurance Admin Platform. Ryan played a substantial role in creating an automated testing solution for a newly transitioned application, gaining exposure to technologies such as 'QTP/UFT', 'BPT', and 'Visual Basic'.
From 2013 to 2017, Ryan worked as a Systems Tester, further developing their testing skills and experience.
In 2017, they were promoted to Automation Engineer after extensive training and self-learning. In this role, they completed a full rewrite of a newly transitioned automation code base for a large application, addressing issues related to code duplication and poor coding practices.
Starting in 2018, Ryan also took on the role of a Frontend Developer at Pramerica/TCS, utilizing their coding skills to contribute to frontend development projects.
Most recently, in 2021, Ryan joined Globalization Partners as a Software Engineer II.
Ryan O'Donnell has a diverse education history in the field of computer software engineering and computing. In 2008, they obtained a degree in ECDL (European Computer Driving Licence) from the FAS National Training Authority. This was followed by a degree in Computer Applications from the same institution, which they completed in 2010. Ryan then pursued a degree in Client Server/Software Development, which they completed in 2011.
In addition to their formal education, Ryan has also obtained certifications in the field. In 2012, they obtained the ISEB Foundation Level certification from the ISTQB (International Software Testing Qualifications Board). Recently, in August 2021, they acquired the Certified Blockchain Developer certification from the Blockchain Council.
