Broadcast Sound Engineer at Globecast

Daniel Hanko has a diverse background in the audio industry. Daniel started their career as a Radio Show Host at various radio stations, including Park Rádio Miskolc, Szinva Rádió, and Kontakt Radio. In 2014, they worked as a Broadcast Technician at Telemedia InteracTV. From 2015 to 2018, they served as an Audio Technician at both Klasszik Rádió 92.1 and 90.9 Jazzy Radio, where they mixed live radio shows, prepared pre-recorded shows, and provided technical assistance for outside broadcasts.

In 2019, Daniel worked as a Location Sound Operator at Glastonbury Festival for Solent Productions, where they recorded audio for Glastonbury TV and operated recording equipment.

In 2022, they joined Globecast as a Broadcast Sound Engineer, where they mixed audio for live broadcasts, embedded it into video content, and delivered it using technologies such as IP networks and Dante.

Currently (2023), they are serving as the Assistant Audio Product Manager at TSL, where they are involved in the development of the audio product range and manages audio support cases requiring investigation. Daniel also tests pre-release hardware and software.

Daniel Hanko started their education journey in 2011 by studying Television Production Assistant at Budapesti Kommunikációs Főiskola. Daniel completed this degree in 2013. Later, in 2018, they enrolled at Solent University to pursue a degree in Audio Engineering. Daniel obtained their degree in Arts, Entertainment, and Media Management in 2022.

In addition to their formal education, Daniel Hanko has also obtained several certifications. In 2022, they received Dante Certification Level 1, Level 2, and Level 3 from Audinate. Daniel further expanded their knowledge in the broadcast industry by obtaining a certification in Broadcast Industry & Technology from Q3 Media Training in January 2023.
