Hector Camacho

Hector Camacho is the current Head of People at Glossier, and they have over 20 years of experience in Human Resources. Hector has a proven track record of being an effective leader and communicator, with a deep knowledge of HR best practices.

Hector started their career at Barneys New York, where they spent six years as the Vice President of Human Resources. In this role, they oversaw all HR operations for the company, including benefits, training, and development. Hector was also responsible for leading the company's diversity and inclusion initiatives.

In 2014, Hector left Barneys to start their own HR consulting firm, HR Resolved. As a consultant, they served as a senior executive coach on employee relations matters. Hector also offered executive expertise and guidance on performance management, employee engagement, and operational strategy.

In 2020, Hector rejoined the corporate world when they took on the role of Head of People at Glossier. In this role, they are responsible for all aspects of HR, from benefits and onboarding to employee development and engagement. Hector is passionate about creating a positive work environment where employees can thrive.

Hector Camacho graduated from Penn State University with a Bachelor of Science in Hospitality Administration/Management. Hector also participated in the Schreyer Honors College and received an Honors Degree from Penn State University. Hector Camacho is certified from the HR Certification Institute - HRCI in SPHR (Senior Professional in Human Resources) and from SHRM in SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP).

Hector Camacho reports to Sarah Stuart, Chief People Officer. They are on a team with Michelle Arnold - Director of People & Culture, Nora McCord - Head of Compensation & People Insights, and Taylor Jackson - Director of Corporate HRBP & Recruiting.
