Jon Markestad

Jon Markestad is the owner of Markestad Marine LLC, currently working as a Marine Engineer, Naval Architect, and Construction Manager. They have extensive experience in the marine industry, including roles as a Senior Project Engineer at Glosten and a Senior Discipline Lead at Shell, where they oversaw mechanical engineering for major construction projects. Previously, Jon owned Markestad Marine Repair, focusing on joiner work for fishing and processing vessels. They also graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Washington and trained as a shipwright at Seattle Central Community College.
