Rafa Borges

Rafa Borges is the current Director of Engineering at Glovo. Prior to this, they were the Lead Software Architect at Deutsche Bank from August 2007 to June 2019. In this role, they were responsible for the end to end software architecture and technology strategy for 150+ applications, including mainframe, SOA/micro-services, front-end channels and big data repositories. Rafa was also responsible for the evolution to API-first, micro-services architecture and cloud adoption. Borges has also worked as a Project Manager / Development Lead / Technical Analyst at GFT Group from September 2003 to August 2007.
