John Mellors

John W. Mellors, MD, received his MD from Dartmouth College and his training in Internal Medicine and Infectious Diseases at Yale University. He is now Distinguished Professor of Medicine and Chief of the Division of Infectious Diseases at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine and UPMC Health System. Under his leadership, the Division of Infectious Diseases has grown to over 75 faculty and over 200 professionals. He has 30 years of experience in translational and clinical research and product development. He has authored more than 400 publications, cited more than 30,000 times, and has multiple patents issued. In 2019 he cofounded AboundBio with Dimiter Dimitrov, PhD, and serves as its CEO.
