Maarten Mensonides

Maarten Mensonides has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. Maarten is currently working at Galapagos as a Senior Lead for xCellit Development and Operations. Prior to this, Maarten worked at Philips as both a Program Manager and a Technical Account Management Leader. Maarten played a key role in managing the HealthSuite Platform, a cloud-based healthcare platform.

Before their time at Philips, Maarten held the position of Chief Operating Officer at 21Brains, a company that provides a note-taking and collaboration app for professional buyers. Maarten was also the Co-Founder and CEO of TradeChanger Ltd, where they managed the product roadmap and operational processes of a B2B eCommerce management platform.

Maarten has also worked as a Consultant, providing project management and Agile coaching services in China. Maarten has experience in financial services, manufacturing, and supply chain management. Additionally, they have served as a Senior Product Manager and Senior Business Analyst at BinckBank, an online broker in Europe, and as a Business Analyst at Fortis Bank. Earlier in their career, Maarten gained experience as a Requirements Engineer at Atos Origin and as an Information Analyst at Delta Lloyd.

Maarten Mensonides completed their Master's Degree in Information Science from Utrecht University between 2000 and 2005. In 2016, they attended a MIT Fintech Certificate Course: Future Commerce at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Maarten also holds additional certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate and PMI Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP) from Amazon Web Services (AWS) and the Project Management Institute, respectively. Maarten also obtained AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner certification in 2022 and a Scrum Product Owner certification from Scrum Alliance, although the exact year is not specified.
