Mark Mensink

Senior Scientist Process Development

Mark Mensink currently serves as a Senior Scientist in Process Development at Galapagos since March 2024, focusing on enhancing chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T-cell therapies for cancer treatment. Prior to this role, Mark was a PhD candidate for four years at Leiden University Medical Center, working in the lab of Prof Jannie Borst on immunology research, and also completed a similar position at The Netherlands Cancer Institute, where research continued after the lab relocated to LUMC. Earlier experiences include research internships at prestigious institutions such as the Walter and Eliza Hall Institute of Medical Research and The Netherlands Cancer Institute, where studies focused on cancer-related proteins and endosomal mechanisms. Mark holds a Master of Science in Biomedical Sciences with a concentration in Oncology and a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Sciences, both from the University of Amsterdam.
