Michael Maraszek

Michael Maraszek, CPA, currently serves as the Head of Finance Operations EMEA at Aliaxis and has held the position of Head of Internal Audit at Galapagos since 2015, advising the Audit Committee of the Board of Directors. With extensive experience in maintaining effective internal control systems and ensuring compliance with the Sarbanes-Oxley Act, Michael has progressed through various roles at Galapagos, including Senior Director and Director of Internal Control. In addition, Michael is the founder of On Point Advisors and the Biotech SOX & Reporting Forum, aimed at fostering knowledge-sharing and networking within the biotech sector. Prior experience includes managerial roles at BDO USA and BDO Belgium, focusing on financial audits, internal controls, and advisory services. Michael holds degrees from Hasselt University and the Instituut van de Bedrijfsrevisoren.
