Rocco Sciarrillo is a highly experienced scientist with a strong background in biotechnology and molecular biology. Rocco has held positions such as Scientist II at Charles River Laboratories from January 2021 to February 2023, and as a Senior Scientist in Analytical Development at Galapagos since February 2023. Prior experience includes serving as a Postdoctoral Researcher at Sanquin, where contributions were made to the characterization of glycosylation in auto-antibodies and support provided for molecular biology tasks. Rocco has also worked as a Research Associate at Kymab Ltd, focusing on the screening and characterization of humanized antibodies, and completed internships at Chiesi Farmaceutici and Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam, where Rocco evaluated anti-cancer agents and studied chemotherapy resistance mechanisms. Rocco earned a Master’s degree in Biotechnology with distinction from Universitá di Bologna in 2011.
