Brian Berg is the managing director of Glumac's Irvine office. Brian has over 25 years of experience in the engineering and construction industry, specializing in the design and construction of commercial, retail, hospitality, and mixed-use projects.
Most recently, Brian was the project executive for the Downtown Commons project in Sacramento, CA. Downtown Commons is a 1.1million sf mixed-use complex built next to a new sports arena in downtown Sacramento. Glumac provided MEP and Low Voltage design services on scope that included the renovation of existing retail spaces, the development of the plaza surrounding the arena, and a new 16-story, ~600,000sf tower containing retail, office, residential, and hotel spaces.
Before joining Glumac, Brian was with Hyundai Motors America as their North American corporate headquarters in Fountain Valley, CA overseeing all engineering and construction for their $700 million campus expansion. The expansion consisted of a new 1.1 million square foot office building, two 800-space parking structures, a 544-space subterranean parking garage, site improvements, and landscaping.
Brian Berg is a graduate of California State University, Long Beach with a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering.
Brian Berg graduated from California State Polytechnic University-Pomona with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering. Brian continued their education at INSA Lyon - Institut National des Sciences Appliquées de Lyon, where they earned their degree in Mechanical Engineering. Brian Berg is a Certified Energy Manager (CEM) through the Association of Energy Engineers and a LEED AP BD+C through the USGBC. Brian is also a Professional Engineer - Mechanical in the state of California.
