Alean Daniel

Alean Daniel is a Staff Systems Engineer at Glydways, having joined the company in August 2023. Previously, Alean held the position of Staff TL Manager in Manufacturing Engineering at Aurora from January 2021 to March 2023, overseeing a manufacturing team focused on new product introduction (NPI), design for excellence (DFX), first-of-kind builds, low-volume production, and engineering change orders (ECOs) for truck integration and modules. Prior to Aurora, Alean served as a Sr Hardware Engineer II and Tech Lead Manager for LIDAR at Uber ATG, contributing to LIDAR development for autonomous vehicles. Experience also includes a role as Senior Product Development Engineer at NewDealDesign, where responsibilities covered rapid prototyping, product requirement definition, and vendor management, as well as serving as a Mechanical Engineer at LeapFrog, leading mechanical projects for educational technology products. Alean holds both a Master of Science and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley.
