Nick Gibson

Nick Gibson has a diverse work experience spanning across various roles and industries. Nick is the General Manager- Japan at Glydways, a Silicon Valley startup focused on autonomous vehicles. In this role, Nick founded the Japanese subsidiary, engaged with customer municipalities and private developers, and launched partnerships with leading Japanese companies.

Nick has also worked as the Head of Japan at Boustead Wavefront Pte. Ltd., an investment banking firm specializing in corporate finance advisory, IPO origination, and direct investing. At National Grid, Nick served as a Senior Advisor, Japan, for NGP Capital.

Nick has been involved with multiple startups as well. Nick worked as a Consultant and Early Investor for Taiga Biotechnologies, assisting with investor and partner outreach in Asia. Nick was the Japan Representative for Kindred.ai, and a Co-Founder & Senior Advisor at Operem, a blockchain platform for sharing intellectual property information.

Furthermore, Nick has held various roles at Nikkei, where they served as a Start-up Mentor & Pitch Contest Judge. Nick was also the Vice President - Asia-Pacific at Xinova, overseeing marketing and sales enablement. Prior to that, they were the Head of Marketing at Invention Development Fund and held multiple positions at Intellectual Ventures, including Director of International Marketing and Co-Founder of Japan Patent Development and Patent Development Company of Korea.

Throughout their career, Nick has demonstrated expertise in business development, marketing, and building partnerships in the Asia-Pacific region.

Nick Gibson attended Denver East High School from 1986 to 1990. Nick then went on to study at Colgate University from 1991 to 1996, earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in International Relations & Asian Studies.
