GMI Insurance (GMI), a division of One80 Intermediaries, was founded in 1980 by Norman Trudel, when he saw a need for monoline business auto insurance designed specifically for classes of business that had difficulty placing general liability and workers’ compensation lines. Over the years, GMI added Cannabis Transport, Workers' Compensation, Auto Rental Fleet, Contingent Auto Lease and General Liability to its coverages. Working with independent agents and brokers across the US, GMI’s commercial transportation and related coverages are underwritten by Admitted A.M. Best “A” rated Markets. 

GMI Insurance Services operates US Choice, auto and trucking rental systems, and Corporate Claims Service, a claims administrator specializing in transportation-related claims.
