John Goes is an experienced Quantitative Research Analyst with a robust background in fixed income, rates, currencies, corporate credit issuer and bond selection, as well as top-down multi-sector allocation. Currently employed at GMO since August 2021, John previously held similar roles at Vanguard from April 2019 to August 2021 and Lord, Abbett & Co. LLC from October 2017 to March 2019. John’s academic qualifications include a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Mathematics from the University of Minnesota, where research was conducted from September 2011 to December 2016, alongside a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Mathematics from the University of Illinois Chicago obtained in 2011. Additionally, John contributed to research as a Visiting Graduate Fellow at SAMSI from September 2013 to May 2014.
