Peter Gilham

Peter Gilham has a strong background in IT and engineering, with a focus on infrastructure and data engineering. Peter has worked for various companies, including Gnosis, Algorand, Spare Space Taxis Ltd, Royal Bank of Scotland Business, Credit Suisse, Barclays Capital, BSkyB, and BAE Systems Digital Intelligence.

In their most recent role at Gnosis, Peter worked as a DevOps Engineer starting in December 2022. Prior to this, they were a DevOps Engineer at Algorand from January 2021 to December 2022.

Before that, Peter worked at Spare Space Taxis Ltd as a Data Engineer. In this role, they built Microsoft Azure cluster infrastructure and wrote backend Python code for the taxi booking app. Peter also migrated the app's infrastructure to Azure. Peter was with the company from July 2019 to January 2021.

Peter's experience also includes a role as an Infrastructure Engineer at Royal Bank of Scotland Business from January 2018 to July 2019. Here, they managed Dev and UAT environments, helped migrate applications to the cloud, and worked on autoscaling development clusters.

Prior to that, Peter worked as an Infrastructure Engineer at Credit Suisse from January 2015 to December 2017. In this role, they provisioned production-ready infrastructure and provided support for incidents across a large employee base.

Peter also has experience as a Data Engineer at Barclays Capital from June 2011 to December 2014, where they worked on the trade capture system and played a role in improving the platform.

Peter started their career at BAE Systems Digital Intelligence as a Software Development Consultant from December 2005 to December 2007. In this role, they worked with various defense and national security clients, gaining experience in enterprise platforms and programming languages.

Throughout their career, Peter has demonstrated skills in infrastructure management, DevOps, data engineering, and software development.

Peter Gilham obtained their MSc in Computational Physics from the University of Nottingham, where they studied from 2001 to 2005.
