Amelia Clune

Amelia Clune has a diverse range of work experience in the education field. Amelia started their career as a New York City Teaching Fellow with AmeriCorps VISTA in 2006. Following that, they worked with TNTP, a program that recruits and prepares teachers in high-need areas of New York City.

Amelia then went on to teach fifth grade and serve as a grade leader at Public School 30x, where they worked with a predominantly low-income student population. Amelia then became a fourth-grade teacher at the Solomon Schechter School of Manhattan, where they focused on literacy, science, and social studies.

After that, Amelia joined Blue School as a literacy and learning specialist. In this role, they worked closely with students, teachers, and administrators to ensure each child reached their full potential. Amelia then moved on to become an assistant principal at The Brooklyn Charter School, where they implemented new strategies and initiatives that led to a 40% increase in students' interim assessment scores.

Amelia later worked as a sixth-grade social studies and ELA push-in teacher at Future Leaders Institute Charter School, where they helped develop an integrated and thematic curriculum. Most recently, they served as a GO Summer Head Teacher at The GO Project, a program that provides academic and emotional support to low-income New York City public school children.

Throughout their career, Amelia has demonstrated a strong commitment to education and has continually sought out opportunities to make a positive impact on students' lives.

Amelia Clune has a diverse education history. Amelia completed their Master of Education (M.Ed.) with an Advanced Literacy Specialization at Bank Street College of Education from 2009 to 2011.
