Joy Leath

Joy Leath is an experienced educator and instructional designer with a strong background in mathematics education. Currently serving as a Content Developer at Goalbook since March 2021, Joy focuses on creating high-quality progress monitoring assessments for teachers. Previously, Joy has held multiple roles within Chesterfield County Public Schools, including Instructional Designer, Math Support Specialist, and Title 1 Math Interventionist, where responsibilities included providing targeted math interventions for students in need. Joy's teaching career began as a K and 1st grade teacher and also included a position as a Title 1 Math Interventionist with the NYC Department of Education. Joy holds a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education and Teaching from New York University, a Master of Science in the same field from Hunter College, and a Post-Grad Endorsement in Mathematics from Virginia Commonwealth University.
