Sohum Bhatt has a varied work experience in the education and customer success industries. In 2022, they joined Goalbook as a Customer Success Manager. Prior to that, they were a Curriculum Developer at Emile Learning in 2021. From 2014 to 2021, they were a Chemistry Teacher at Raoul Wallenberg High School, where they taught Chemistry and AP Chemistry to 140 students each year using an inquiry based model. Sohum also developed and piloted science curriculum aligned to NGSS standards for the district as part of the Research and Development team. Additionally, they served as a mentor teacher for the San Francisco Teacher Residency program for 4 years and lead staff PD on Culturally Relevant Pedagogy. In 2019, they were accepted to be a Wipro Fellow at Stanford School of Education and in the first cohort for the NY TIMES Teaching Project. From 2014 to 2012, they were a Corps Member at Teach For America, where they were selected from more than 45,000 applicants nationwide to join national teacher corps who commit two years to teach in under-resourced public schools. Sohum also engaged in consistent professional development including seminars, workshops, individual and group reflections specific to teaching science. From 2012 to 2014, they were a Live Study Manager at PAREXEL.
Sohum Bhatt attended Piscataway High School from 2004 to 2008. Sohum then earned a B.S.E. in Materials Science and Engineering from the University of Michigan in 2012. In 2014, they completed an M.A. in Urban Education from Loyola Marymount University.
