David Mitchell

David Mitchell possesses extensive experience in the payments industry, currently serving as a Lived Experience Member on the Scientific Advisory Council at Breakthrough T1D UK since May 2023 and as the Senior Global Payment Partnerships Lead for the UK and Nordics at GoCardless since September 2021. Previously, David held roles at Vocalink, where responsibilities included Product Director for Bacs and Faster Payments, and earlier as Product Manager for the Bacs product portfolio. David's experience also includes significant contributions at Bacs Payment Schemes Limited as CASS Product Manager, overseeing the Current Account Switch Service development, and at FINANCIAL FRAUD ACTION UK LIMITED in fraud management initiatives. Earlier career highlights include work as a Senior Analyst at the National Fraud Authority and various management roles at the Institution of Civil Engineers. David holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in History from the University of Plymouth.
