Ibrahim Tamimi

Ibrahim Tamimi has a diverse and extensive work experience across various industries.

Starting in 2013, they worked as a Teaching Assistant at the Illinois Institute of Technology, where they provided support in educational settings.

In 2014, Ibrahim interned at the City of Chicago, assisting in reviewing architectural, plumbing, and mechanical plans, and implementing the E-plan system.

In 2015, they worked as a Mechanical Engineering Intern at dbHMS impact through engineering, gaining hands-on experience in the field.

Moving forward, Ibrahim joined Copperleaf Technologies in 2016 as an Analyst, where they supported project managers, conducted data validations, and provided software customizations for clients.

From 2017 to 2018, Ibrahim worked as a Finance Engineering Analyst at VGL Limited (now StubHub), collaborating with finance, database, and engineering teams to develop automated solutions and work on various finance projects.

In 2018, they joined TransferWise as a Business Intelligence Analyst in the Finance department. Ibrahim played a significant role in designing and maintaining a scalable and controlled data pipeline, aligned business and technical definitions of KPIs and regulatory reporting, and developed reliable ETL processes using SQL and Python.

Most recently, Ibrahim Tamimi joined GoCardless in 2021 as a Business Intelligence - Analytics Engineering, where they currently work.

Ibrahim Tamimi pursued a Master's Degree in Operations Research from the University of Southampton between 2015 and 2016. Prior to that, they earned an Engineer's Degree in Architectural Engineering, specializing in Construction Management and Structural Engineering, from the Illinois Institute of Technology from 2012 to 2015.
