Jayne Bennett

Jayne Bennett has a diverse and extensive work experience in the legal field. Jayne is currently working at GoCardless as the General Counsel, a position they have held since April 2023. Prior to this role, they served as the Deputy General Counsel and Interim Deputy General Counsel at GoCardless. Jayne also worked as an Interim Legal Counsel at the same company.

Before joining GoCardless, Jayne was a Legal Consultant at Bright Sparkes Legal Consultancy Limited from February 2021 to May 2022. Jayne also served as a Legal Consultant at BHM LIMITED from June 2017 to January 2021.

Jayne has experience working as the General Counsel (Contract) at delaware United Kingdom from September 2017 to October 2020.

Earlier in their career, Jayne was a Partner at DAC Beachcroft LLP, where they specialized in non-contentious financial services advice. Jayne provided expertise in M&A, commercial contracts, and financial services regulation and compliance. Jayne worked at DAC Beachcroft LLP from September 2012 to May 2017.

Jayne started their career as an Assistant Solicitor at Linklaters in March 2000 and worked there until January 2005. Jayne then joined Addleshaw Goddard as a Managing Associate from February 2005 to June 2012.

Jayne Bennett attended Normanton Freeston High School from 1985 to 1993. Afterwards, they went on to pursue a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree in Law and Business Studies at the University of Birmingham from 1992 to 1995.
